Room-size Floral Hand-hooked Rug, Rhode Island, 1950-1960, rectangular rug hooked with wool strips on a burlap foundation, central oval reserve issuing a large arrangement of soft-toned multicolored flowers surrounded by floral and foliate borders, the background done in shades of beige and green, (minor repairs), 9 ft. x 12 ft. Note: Oral history relates that the rug, made by a Rhode Island woman, took eight years to complete.
