Federal Diminutive Painted and Decorated Bird's-eye Maple Work Table, Boston, 1815-25, the top with a central floral painting is outlined in a red and black Greek key design and overhangs a single drawer with the same outline above a bag frame drawer, the sides are similarly decorated, all flanked by four double-bamboo-like columnar legs joined by a similar medial stretcher and attached to two serpentine feet striped in red and black, old alligatored surface, (imperfections), ht. 27 1/2, wd. 16, dp. 12 1/2 in. Provenance: King Caesar House, Duxbury, Massachusetts, 1969.
