Beaded Hide and Wood Model Cradle, Ute, c. last quarter 19th century, the round-top tapered wood form with hide covering, the top beaded with a multicolored Central Plains barred design, the body with cross and horse track devices, contains a cloth doll with dark blue beaded necklace, cloth-wrapped hood, (cloth and bead loss, insect damage), ht. 21 in. Provenance: Wistariahurst Museum, purchased from Charles Derby in 1977.
