Northern Plains Beaded Hide Knife Sheath and Knife, Blackfoot, c. mid-19th century, the "stabber" style commercially made knife with riveted and contoured wood grips, the buffalo hide sheath partially beaded on one side, the top with pony trader blue, "clam broth," and amber seed beads, white and black pony beads, the edging, bottom tip, and tab in white and black pony beads, old wood thread spool toggle on a twisted hide thong, (bead loss), lg. of sheath 21, knife 14 3/4 in. Provenance: Purchased from Robert Riggs in 1970.
