Antique 18kt Gold, Enamel and Seed Pearl Pomander, France, centering a polychrome enamel reserve depicting a cherub with a book seated on a monument reading "Gare-a-vous", framed by split seed pearls, geometric, scroll and foliate engraved case with black and white enamel accents, opening to a piercework grille designed as a lute among roses and leafy vines, French guarantee stamps and partial maker's mark, (later pendant bail, small loss to grille).
