Impressive French Empire portico black slate and ormolu mounted clock, the case surmounted with covered urn finial over the drum case with a white enamel dial with black Roman and Arabic numerals and a time and strike movement, the dial signed Mathieu a Rouen. The clock face with lattice work curtain with facial mask and tassels below with sunburst surrounded face on swinging pendulum. The temple-form case raised on front fluted Corinthian columns surmounted with floral filled urns, the whole mounted on a shaped beaded base raised on four gilt bronze toupie feet.
