Plains Beaded Hide and Cloth Cradle, Cheyenne, c. 1880s, the buffalo hide form with continuous red stripe bisecting stepped triangles, with floating forked diamond devices, rawhide and canvas backing, bead colors are white center red, medium green, yellow, light blue, and translucent dark blue on a white ground, fragments of hide ties to secure missing boards, (some stiffness to hide), lg. 26 1/2 in. Provenance: Deaccessioned from a Northeastern museum.
