Wedgwood Light Blue Jasper Commemorative Vase, England, 1930, manufactured to commemorate the bicentenary of the birth of Josiah Wedgwood, applied white stylized decoration to an oval shape, the neck with raised "WEDGWOOD", the foot with raised "1730 1930", mounted atop a raised cut corner base with vertical striping, matching wood plinth, electrified, ht. to neck 21 3/4 in. Note: The design, by Emmanuel Tjerne, won first prize in the international competition held by Wedgwood. A very small edition of these vases was produced.
