Classical Mahogany Carved and Inlaid Tall Case Clock, James Rogers, New York, c. 1825, the hood with molded swan's neck cresting above the glazed tombstone door flanked by Gothic arch panels and turned and acanthus carved columns, the painted dial marked "James Rogers New York," with seconds hand and calendar aperture, the waist with shaped thumb-molded, string-inlaid and crossbanded door, and raised panel below flanked by turned acanthus-carved columns with inlaid capitals and plinths, on a base with two vertical panels bordered by stringing and crossbanding on hairy paw carved feet, old finish, (imperfections), ht. 94 in.
