Wool "Camp Fire" Pictorial Hooked Rug, Worcester, Massachusetts, c. 1938, the rug composed of multicolored wool strips hooked onto a burlap backing, depicting a Campfire Girl wearing her uniform standing beside a campfire in a lakeside woodland setting, with a setting sun beyond distant hills, signed "EM 39" lower right, with "CAMP FIRE" hooked on top border and numerous pictographic Campfire Girl symbols on the bottom and side borders, the reverse labeled "Mrs. A.T. Malm 233 Beverly Rd. Worcester, Mass.," the top and bottom edges mounted on two wood strips for hanging, 50 1/2 x 35 in.
