Set of Five Federal Mahogany Carved Pedestal Back Side Chairs, Rhode Island, 1790-1815, the molded serpentine crests continue to similarly shaped stiles which flank the carved splats having neoclassical elements including kylixes, swags, and leafage above the overupholstered, seats with serpentine front rails on molded tapering front legs joined by square stretchers to the raking square rear legs, old refinish, (imperfections), ht. 38 7/8, seat ht. 17 1/2 in.
