Classical Mahogany Veneer Carved Sideboard, attributed to Emmons and Archibald, Boston, c. 1815, the rectangular top with a concave center and a molded hinged top at either end, one opening to a zinc-lined cavity for wine storage, the other opening to a cavity, the two drawers make up the frieze above the recessed paneled section of cupboards, the right side of which includes four shallow silver drawers, interspersed with leaf-carved faceted columns above leaf-carved feet on discs, old surface, (some veneer loss), ht. 46 1/2, wd. 71 3/4, dp. 24 1/2 in. Note: Emmons and Archibald were partners in Boston 1813 to 1829 producing a large number of late Classical furnishings.
