Nathaniel Currier, publisher (American 1813-1888) AMERICAN WINTER SPORTS. TROUT FISHING "ON CHATEAUGAY LAKE" 1856, (Conningham, 210). Identified by inscriptions in the matrix. Lithograph with hand-coloring on paper, sheet size 21 7/8 x 28 3/4 in., matted, in a molded bird's-eye maple frame. Condition: Margins of 1 in. or more, laid down, light mat stains, couple tears, light stains, loss on margin edge. Note: This lithograph ranked no. 15 in the original "Best 50," and no. 42 in the "New Best 50" large folio.
