British/ Irish School, 19th century. "Portrait of Jane", oil on canvas, apparently unsigned. Painting depicts a stately elderly woman with porcelain skin at waist length, the woman being dressed in a rich grey silk dress with high neck with lace collar and a white lace bonnet. Period paper label to verso of stretcher with "Jane ?? of ?? Hill Co. Dublin" above other distinguishable writing. Framed approximately 34.25" x 29.25", unframed approximately 30" x 25".
