English, Early 20th century. A fine Royal Worcester ewer reticulated by George Owen and decorated with floral swags by Harry Chair with a scrolling, leafy handle and reticulated mouth, the foliate and mask molded neck highlighted in gilding over the shoulder with raised white beading on gilt, the shield shaped body headed with a crescent shaped section of fine hexagonal pierce work highlighted with white beaded draping pearls, above a colorful bouquet of roses in shades of pink, yellow, green and blue signed by the artist Harry Chair, to the reverse a painted cluster of roses, incised to the side ‘1909’ and initials possibly ‘E.S’, on an ivory ground, the foot decorated with gilt and also reticulated. The underside with impressed G. Owen under hallmark. Approximate height 6.75". Note: Henry 'Harry' Chair worked closely with George Owen and specialized in small cabinet pieces for Royal Worcester.
