Continental Reliquary Miniature, 19th century, oval, one side with a miniature painting on vellum of a monk saint kneeling before an altar, and to the reverse with four mounted reliquary article identified in Latin on paper, stitched on fabric ground accented with gilt metal purl, and in border of faceted red stones, both sides set under glass with facet cuts to circumference, lg. 3 1/2 in.
