Rare and Important French Silver Mounted Violoncello Bow, Francois Xavier Tourte, c. 1810, the octagonal stick unstamped, numbered 4711 inside frog mortise, the violin-style head repaired and splined, the later ebony frog with pearl eyes, the later silver and ebony adjuster, weight 81 grams.
