Red Painted Shaker Wooden Sap Bucket, North Family Shakers, Enfield, New Hampshire, late 19th century, pine stave and iron two-hoop construction, iron hanger tab, the interior painted yellow and exterior painted drab red, the base impressed "NF SHAKERS" over "ENFIELD N. H.," (minor wear, stains), ht. 9 1/8, dia. 11 7/8 in. Literature: The late 19th century pails from Enfield, New Hampshire are the only Shaker pails marked with the word "Shakers."
