Two Cobalt Blue Decorated Stoneware Jugs, America, 19th century, both ovoid form with applied strap handle and decorated with a bird perched on a branch, one impressed "M. DAVIS & CO. NOS. 55 & 57 BLACKSTONE STREET BOSTON," the other indistinctly impressed "NEW YORK STONEWARE CO. FORT EDWARD NEW YORK," (1870-90), (repair on first, few minor chips on the second), ht. 11 3/8, 11 5/8 in.
