Calligraphic Memorial, late 18th century, polychrome and ink on paper, one side with inscription reading "In memory of Mr. Josiah Parsons junr. Born in old york October, 14, 1775, died In Lisbon Dec. in 1796 aged 21yr.,"over a poetic verse, embellished with birds, leafy vine, and wavy line borders, the reverse with verses and mottos and an inscription "Written for Miss Abigail Peasley By Abraham Kimball," the paper sandwiched between glass and framed. (minor toning, foxing, creases, small tears), 8 1/4 x 5 3/4 in.
