Federal Gilt Wood and Gesso Pier Mirror, Boston, c. 1825, the molded cornice with applied balls above the raised tablet centering a flying figure of a lady with a basket of flowers above the rectangular mirror with deeply molded pilasters with applied balls flanked by crossed foliage (imperfections), ht. 64, wd. 36 3/4 in. Note: A note affixed to the back of mirror reads, "The mirror came from house No. 1 Bradford Place--the home of Doctor Saxton--his place contained about 12,000 feet of land and looked onto Boston common--Nothing between Mason St. and the Common, 1795. GW Morton, Quincy Dec. 12, 1908."
