Chippendale Mahogany Carved Side Chair, Massachusetts, c. 1780, the shaped crest rail with scrolled terminals above a vasiform splat and chamfered raked stiles on an overupholstered trapezoidal seat on frontal arris cabriole legs ending in pad feet on platforms joined to the chamfered flaring rear legs by block, vase, and ring turned and swelled stretchers, old dark surface, (minor imperfections), ht. 38 1/2, seat ht. 18 in.
