Mac Zimmermann (German, 1912-1995) Lot of Two Surreal Works Including: Divergierendes Divertimento Each signed "Mac Zimmermann," the former dated "54" and with a label from Biennale Internazionale d'Arte de Venezia 1954 on the reverse, the latter dated "53". Various media including oil on Masonite and pen and ink on paper, sizes to 28 x 39 in. (71.1 x 99 cm), framed. Condition: Toning. Provenance: A Connecticut estate. N.B. The lot is accompanied by a copy of Gottfried Knapp and Peter Petersen's book Mac Zimmerman , where Divergierendes Divertimento is reproduced on page 224 , as well as a letter from the artist referencing the piece.
