Polychrome decorated pine dowry chest or trunk, the molded lip with two raised painted panels decorated with red flowers and green foliage and wrought iron strap hinges, the triple arched and recessed paneled front, floral painted with blue ground bearing owner’s name and date of 1848 on molded base. Height 21.5", width 52", depth 24".
