Early poster for the man who would become England’s best-known and best-loved stage magician, and managing partner of Maskelyne’s magic business. In this poster, a medallion bust portrait of Devant at the apex of the design is complemented by scenes of him producing a rabbit from a hat, tricks with cards, and various hand shadows Devant was known for producing. 21 x 32". Outer margins and portions of poster expertly recreated; sold as-is. Scarce.
