Indian, late 19th century. Hardwood coffer or trunk box with brass mounted borders, strapwork and shaped medallions with ornate floral decoration, and repeating beaded, lappet and leaf motif borders, front half of box hinged - opening to reveal paisley fabric lined open storage interior, sides of case with bail pulls. Unmarked. Coffer raised on later wood stand with four rectangular block feet. Overall (including stand) approximate height 17.3", width 24.1", depth 14.7".
