Unusual Middle Eastern/Indian brass footed prayer box possibly to store religious implements, the box rectilinear in form, the top inscribed in Arabic/Farsi and centered with flower within a raised border over a gadroon applied molding, both sides relief decorated with panels embossed with niche's inset with various animals, deities and symbols, a hinged door opens to a wood lined interior to one end, raised on polychrome decorated 'Ganesh' style feet. Approximate height 18.25", width 54" (foot to foot), depth 17.25" (foot to foot).
