Contemporary and unique wood carved, parquetry and stone inlaid bench having undulating backrest to one end supported by six shaped spindles, the parquetry inlaid organic slab form seat further inlaid with a geode, stones, coral snakes, sun burst and seven phases of the moon and raised on two inlaid spreading pedestals united by a branch-form stretcher. Apparently unsigned. Approximate height 29.75", width 55.5", depth 19", seat height 16". Provenance: From the Private Collection of Dr. & Mrs. Calvin Wayne McLarin, Atlanta, Georgia.
