A matched pair of parcel gilt and paint decorated life size plaster guardian sculptures depicting the Egyptian god Anubis as a seated black dog with upright wing-like ears set above a long narrow snout and blue painted eyes, with gold painted tie around neck and gilt accents to interior of ears, the animal seated on back legs with straight fore-legs and tail wrapped around back legs as resting on a rectangular form plinth base. Unmarked. Approximate height 32.5", width 11", depth 20".
