Continental, likely Spanish, 20th century. A matched pair of Baroque style painted and parcel gilt decorated wood floor lamps or torchieres having a spiral or barley twist shaft painted with leafy vinery and resting on a fishscale decorated and paneled square base, each side carved with cartouche containing faux malachite within drapery against red ground above a leaf tip molded plinth. The standard headed with wax candlesleeve issuing a single socket with cream colored pleated fabric shade. Approximate overall height 76.5", width of base 14.12", depth of base 14.12".
