English, last quarter of 19th century (circa 1874). Orientalist silver plated on copper (Sheffield) epergne with large cut glass bowl at upper center within round holder with floral borders above thin tubular sweeping supports with scrolled and rocaille shell accents leading to three radiating arms with smaller cut glass bowls (all with lattice, star and saw tooth decoration), drop finials with beaded borders under cups and center standard surmounting three tubular supports terminating on resting camel's saddles rendered in Orientalist fashion on a shaped tripartite base above oblong stepped feet. Marked on bottom with silver plated registration mark indicating class I metal, circa July 28th, 1876 production and parcel 8. Overall approximate height 23.4", diameter (across cups)15.6".
