A Regency style chinoiserie, black lacquer and parcel gilt decorated library table or desk having a rectangular top and continuous molded edge painted with bellflower over a frieze with three vertically aligned drawers and painted with pavilions, figures, landscape, animals and birds raised on four scrolled legs painted with flowering foliage united by a concave box stretcher centered with a turned finial and terminating on gilt shell-formed feet. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 30", width 59.75", depth 29.75".
