Meissen (German, founded 1710- ), early 20th century. A fine hand painted porcelain seven piece service for twelve plus additional serving plate, all decorated with scattered colorful exotic flowers and sprigs. Set is comprised of twelve tea cups, twelve saucers, twelve bread and butter plates, twelve luncheon plates, twelve salad plates, twelve soup bowls, twelve dinner plates, and one leaf shaped handled tidbit serving plate. Each piece is marked with blue cross swords having slightly curved blades and colorless impressed mark. None of the pieces are marked as a factory manufacturer second. Approximate height of cup 2.5". Approximate diameter of saucer 5.37". Approximate diameter of bread plate (6.37"). Approximate diameter of salad plate 7". Approximate diameter of luncheon plate 8.62".
