Austrian School, late 19th century. A pair of finely modeled gilt bronze figural sculptures depicting a young man and young woman in typical period dress engaging in dance, the girl lifting her skirt near him and smiling as the boy lifts his hat and peers back at her, each sculpture raised on a turned form black marble base. Each with impressed foundry mark "BERNDORF" and date "1 MAI 1888" to side of base above copyright "VERVIELEALTIGUN GS-RECHT VORBEHALTEN". Male overall height approximately 20.25", width 10", depth 5.25". Female overall height 19.125", width 7", depth 6".
