Continental, late 19th/ early 20th century. A pair of large black painted cast iron garden urns with cast stone flambeau finials, each urn comprising spreading ring foot with gadroon band at knee, surmounted by a large cylindrical urn form with tall leaf tip band at base under laurel leaf swags joined at shoulder by Bacchanalian masks and surrounding rosette medallions in relief, the flat-top shoulder issuing short incurvate neck with narrow band of flutes and lift-off cast stone open flame form finials, allover with black painted finish. Unmarked. Approximate height 41", width across handles 19.5", diameter 16".
