Ed Dwight (American (Colorado), b. 1933). "Seated Trumpeter" - 1986, patinated and polychromed bronze, limited edition 9 of 40, signed, dated, and numbered to base. Emotive bronze sculpture depicting an aged jazz musician seated in an armchair with legs crossed bearing trumpet resting below hands on his lap as he looks to his right with a green blanket wrapped around his shoulders, the figure placed atop an ovular naturalistic platform with gild edges raised on a slender foot mounted to a black marble plinth base. Approximate height 16.5", width 9.5", depth 16.25". Provenance: From the Private Collection of Dr. & Mrs. Calvin Wayne McLarin, Atlanta, Georgia.
