Continental, late 19th/early 20th century. Matched pair of Neoclassical style gray painted and parcel gilt decorated open armchairs, each having a scrolled crestrail over paneled tablet and splat with openwork anthemion medallion centered by two arms decorated with gilt leaf-tips above the padded and upholstered seat raised on front turned and tapered legs having semi-lobed gilt ornament headed with patera blocks. Approximate height 34.37", width 21.12" (arm to arm), seat depth 17.5", seat height 17".
