Continental, 20th century. A Louis XV style red lacquered and chinoiserie decorated commode having a serpentine molded rouge marble top over a bombe case with two drawers decorated with genre exterior figural garden scenes outlined with decorative bronze floral mounts, the sides decorated with garden entrance and figure, the angles with gilt bronze foliage mounts terminating in cast foliate sabots. Approximate height 34", width 47.75", depth 24.5".
