American, circa 1880. A scarce Aesthetic Movement simulated rosewood center or parlor table in the Japanesque style having a rectangular top with canted corners inset with conforming red marble over an apron with incised carvings of sunflowers and chrysanthemums flanking geometric open fretwork raised on turned legs united by cross geometric open fretwork stretcher centered with turned finial and terminating in slightly downswept block feet with incised decoration on casters. Approximate height 30", width 40.5", depth 28".
