Italian, 18th century. A Neoclassical style polychrome decorated giltwood fauteuil having a slightly curving and rectangular padded back within a molded frame, joined by shaped and outscrolling arms with scroll terminals to the bowfront padded seat, raised on square tapered legs. The back and seat covered in a flame stitch style upholstery secured with decorative nailhead trim. Approximate height 35.25", width 24.62", seat depth 19", seat height 16".
