Continental, 20th century. A painted Venetian style carved wood figural pedestal with scattered gilt throughout, with upswept acanthus leaf and rosettes to upper element, neck centered with high relief face of a beautiful woman whose hair is demonstrated with downswept acanthus, with scrolled acanthus and acanthus within c-scroll borders to body, with four panels with diaper patterning, a single rosette and an s-scrolled acanthus leaf with tassel to each side of lower element, on round foot raised on four feet of upswept acanthus form. Overall approximately 56" x 19.5" x 19".
