Maciel (Mexican (Mexico City), 20th century. A fine and heavy five piece sterling silver tea and coffee service comprising teapot, coffee pot, lidded sugar, creamer, and oblong salver or serving tray. Each vessel of spherical form with band of elongated gadroon form panels to body, radiating gadroon domed lid with acorn finial, and simple scrolling handles, the oblong tray with welled center bordered by slightly domed wide rim with further gadrooning and cutout handles to opposing narrow ends. Each marked to underside "MACIEL", STERLING", and "925". Coffee approximate height 9.75", tea approximate height 7.25", creamer approximate height 5.875", sugar approximate height 5.5", tray approximately 16.625" x 23.375". Total approximate weight 160 troy ounces.
