French, 19th century. Pair of matching finely cast dore bronze mounted and white alabaster cassoulets, each with berry finial at top with acanthus leaves on domed lid, reversible top for use a candlesticks, pierced circular decoration on rim above rounded tapered body with three Bacchanalian facial mounts joined by floral swag garlands above trailing bell flowers and acanthus on reeded legs terminating on cloven feet on an incurvate plinth base with beaded border, floral paterae blocks and cartouches with ribboned wreaths and scrolled foliates on disc feet. Each apparently unmarked. Overall approximate height as urn 15.7".
