French, late 19th/early 20th century. A large Art Nouveau gilt metal mounted yellow opaline or opalescent vase with circular mouth and slightly tapering long neck having twelve internal ribs and a bulbous base mounted with entwining gilt metal leafy flowering stems mounted with a single dragon fly. The whole resting on four gilt metal openwork leafy feet. Vase reacts strongly to ultraviolet light. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 20.12", width 7.5", diameter of mouth 4.4".
