Chinese, likely 19th century Qing Dynasty (1644-1912). A cloisonne and gilt over copper dresser box of rectangular form finely enameled to depict lotus blossoms with meandering vines in many colors on an iron red ground, the lid inlaid with carved hardstone, likely jade, figural medallion, the lift-off lid opening to reveal a single interior compartment washed in gold. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 2.2", width 5.6", depth 3.8".
