Chinese, likely 19th century Qing Dynasty (1644-1912). A white jade and green jade mounted gilt metal dresser box of cloud form raised on four peony form feet, the hinged lid bearing gilt peony flowers in relief amid four inlaid green jade cabochons as flower pistils (or center) with white jade petals surrounding, with green jade belt hook mounted at center of lid bearing figural carved dragon motif to either side as dragon head as hook fixture, the hinged lid opening to reveal single compartment lined in green textured satin. Approximate height 3.125", width 9.75", depth 6.25".
