Chinese, Late 19th/Early 20th century. Chinese export porcelain umbrella stand of cylindrical form with all-over vertical flutes or ridges, exterior with hand painted enamels depicting courtly figures within C scroll borders, other medallions with birds and butterflies amid lush flowers and fruit, surrounded by fields of green scrolled foliates, flying butterflies, pink flowers and fruit on gilt ground. Unmarked. Overall approximate height 24.125", diameter 9.6". Provenance: From the Estate of Channing S. Jun, M.D., Eastman, Georgia.
