Chinese,Qing Dynasty (1644-1912), late 19th century. A rosewood carved side or taboret table with lobed or petal shaped top inset with circular white marble framed by carved scrolling foliage and egg and dart molding over the openwork skirt carved with forms of cherry blossoms and branches raised on four cabriole legs headed with zoomorphic dragon mask over carved floral motif joined by a circular dished undershelf and terminating on knuckled claws, each holding tightly onto ball-shaped 'pearls of wisdom'. Approximate height 22", diameter of top 22.75”. Provenance: From the Estate of Channing S. Jun, M.D., Eastman, Georgia.
