Chinese, likely late 19th/ early 20th century. A petite bottle vase of pear or yuhuchunping form in 8 facets in blue and white underglaze hand painting, with flaring ring foot bearing leiwen patterning under the bulbous body with band of lappets surmounted by scrolling band under field of peony blossoms on vine punctuated with a phoenix and a Qilin, both mythological beasts,, under further scrolls, lappets, and key patterning to the constricted neck, the flaring mouth with a band of leaf tips, and the rim with a band of scrolls, the underside left partially unglazed revealing orange pottery structure. Unmarked. Approximate height 11.25", diameter 5.25".
