Chinese, 20th century. Hand painted figural porcelain sculpture depicting the star god Lu or Luxing, the figure standing at full length wearing blue and purple robes decorated with flowers and butterflies, one hand obscured beneath robe at side and supporting a bamboo rod, the other hand held at chest left with fingers forming a mudra, this hand modeled as a nodder or movable element. Underside with indistinguishable impressed mark. Approximate height 18", width 7", depth 6.25". Provenance: From the Estate of Channing S. Jun, M.D., Eastman, Georgia.
